  • Billing
    Please pay any outstanding invoices and costs not covered by your insurance on your day of departure at the latest in our administration office/cash desk. We accept EC and credit cards.
  • Departure
    Bills are issued by our cash desk/administration office. Please check out at reception before 9.00 a.m.
  • Alcoholic beverages
    Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the clinic. Alcoholic beverages are not served in the cafeteria.
  • Rehabilitation registration
    The social services at the hospital will take care of the registration for rehabilitation following hospital treatment.

  • Application forms for inpatient, full-day outpatient, outpatient rehabilitation treatment
    You can obtain the application forms from your insurance company (health insurance, Deutsche Rentenversicherung) or from your attending physician. Once your physician has confirmed the medical necessity, application for the rehabilitation treatment is filed with your insurance company.
  • Arrival
  • Day of arrival
    We expect you to arrive between 9.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. at the latest. If you are unable to arrive by then, please let us know.
  • Arrival by car
    On arrival, you can park your car in the short-term parking zone outside the clinic entrance to unload. Our garage is available for longer-term parking (a parking fee is charged). Trolleys are available in the lobby.
  • Arrival by train
    Please do not use any special low-cost offers from Deutsche Bahn as you will be unable to change your booking if your time of arrival or departure changes.
  • Post-hospital rehabilitation treatment (AHB)
    Post-hospital rehabilitation (AHB) is a continuation of treatment directly following a stay in hospital for an acute illness or operation. Please feel free to ask the social services at the hospital about the possibility of post-hospital rehabilitation at our clinic. Provided there are no reasons for objection on medical or other grounds, your request and right to choose (§ 9 SGB IX) should be granted. Generally, the costs are assumed by Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund or your health insurance company. A stay generally lasts 3 weeks. In the case of medical necessity, the stay can be extended in consultation with your insurance company. The application for extension is filed by the attending physician. You can, of course, extend your stay at any time by paying privately.
    Full-day outpatient rehabilitation
    We offer full-day outpatient rehabilitation. The same therapies are available as for inpatients. The only difference is that you only stay at the clinic during the day. Our comfortable rest rooms for full-day outpatients ensure that you can relax between therapy sessions and meals. Generally, your insurance company will agree to pay for 15 days of therapy.
  • Admission
    The admission process is performed at the reception desk.
  • Date of admission
    Sometimes, the insurance company determines the date for commencing rehabilitation. Otherwise, the date for admission is agreed with our patient and guest services.
    If you are unable to honor the agreed date of admission, please contact our patient and guest services.
  • Banks / Savings banks
    Various bank branches can be found in the pedestrian zone / Louisenstrasse.
  • Accompanying person
    Your companion can be accommodated for a few days or for the entire duration of your rehabilitation. Our patient and guest services are happy to accept reservations.
  • Authorization
    Dr. Baumstark Clinic is licensed to operate a private hospital facility pursuant to § 30 / 155 Industrial Code and therefore complies with the regulations pertaining to financial assistance.
    Since you are insured privately, our contract for treatment must be concluded with you personally rather than with the insurance company. You will therefore receive a clinic agreement together with the invitation. You must apply for, and obtain confirmation of payment from your private insurance and financial assistance organization before commencing treatment. In the absence of confirmation of payment, patients are obligated to pay for all or some of the clinic services themselves throughout their entire stay. Please bear in mind that some private insurance schemes only cover some of the costs of rehabilitation and that you may therefore be required to pay some of the cost yourself.
    We charge the rate for private nursing care, which includes accommodation, meals, nursing care and the therapy treatment.
    Optional treatment by the chief physician is charged at the official rates (GOÄ) and billed separately.
  • Visitors
    Visitors are warmly welcomed at Dr. Baumstark Clinic.
    We would, however, ask for your consideration for other patients during the quiet periods.
  • Leave of absence
    Insurance companies do not permit leave of absence. Justified exceptions must be approved by the attending physicians.
  • Library
    Our in-house library will not only appeal to bookworms. The peaceful surroundings ensure literary enjoyment and will make you want to stay awhile.
  • Cafeteria
    The cafeteria is a popular meeting place for both patients and visitors. Coffee, cake and ice cream are also served on the terrace in summer.

    Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe offers an enchanting plethora of sights worth seeing. The monthly "LOUISe" magazine contains information about events and excursions.
  • Hairdresser
    Pamper yourself in our beauty zone. Appointments can be made by telephone.
  • Pedicure
    An experienced specialist pampers your feet in our beauty zone. By prior appointment.
  • Luggage service
    Trolleys are available for your luggage. Our staff will be pleased to assist you.
  • Church services
    Protestant and Catholic church services are held regularly. Transportation to churches is offered on Sundays and church holidays.
  • Internet
    A W-Lan Hot Spot can be used in the lobby and cafeteria against payment of a fee. All rooms are equipped with Lan internet access.
  • Car parking
    Parking spaces in our underground garage can be rented at reception. Short-term parking spaces are also available.
  • Private patients
    Patients whose costs are paid by themselves or by a private insurance company are welcome to avail themselves of the treatment program at our clinic at any time.
    We can offer you the comfort and surroundings you expect. We guarantee first-class medical and therapeutic care. You will be accommodated in comfortable single rooms or suites on our private ward. You can use the LAN internet connection in your room free of charge.
    Please let know during the admission process if you wish to be looked after by the leading physician.
    A dedicated carer and contact for private patients will happily deal with your needs and requests. We can also gladly provide you with conference or secretarial facilities, just as you require.
    Private patients must ensure that their private insurance company and, if applicable, allowances office have confirmed the payment of costs prior to starting rehabilitation. Please bear in mind that you are our contract partner. In the absence of any prior confirmation of payment, you will have to bear the costs yourself, including payment of a reasonable advance. If you are 100% privately insured (without allowances), we can bill the insurance company directly once we have received written confirmation of payment. If your insurance policy includes allowances, please submit our bill to your allowances office.
  • Smoke-free clinic
    We are sure you will appreciate that smoking is not permitted in the clinic. A smoking zone with pavilion is provided.
  • What to bring

  • Valuables
    We accept no liability for valuables in your room. Money and other valuables can be deposited in the safe in the administration office / cash desk or in the clinic safe.
